The fashion began with a commanding message of, united we stand. The first looks to hit the runway were patriotic red, white and blue cable knitted sweaters, t-shirts shedding light on sharing the peace, all paired with masks made by local middle schooler Jofin making his statement of “believe.”
Following were looks of funk and flair. Wool plaid ponchos, off the shoulder pullovers, long trenches, and leather. Sexy scarfs matched up with faux alligator skin handbags. Then came the classic powerful woman details you expect from Denise. Stunning Chanel patterned coats, every perfect fall colored wrap, classy animal leopard print dresses, block sweaters, those clutch turtlenecks, and furs for when the weather is right.
Finishing out the fashion were pieces Hajjar will never part with, designs meant for her shows and shoots. Ball gowns with beaded detail, a full-length silver dress fit for a red carpet and the showstopper time and again of a black honeycomb cocktail dress that had the audience thinking it was Marilyn Monroe on the runway.
The show had it all; with over 50 plus looks, 44 plus tables and God had graced the evening with that last hint of sun and summer nights. Denise Hajjar-Casamassima took an idea for the Marina Bay boardwalk and created a runway reminiscent of Paris.
